DIVERGENT – Veronica Roth

Last week I posted about the 4 new books I bought – see that HERE. I began by reading Divergent by Veronica Roth and oh my gosh, this book is brilliant. Once I picked it up, I literally couldn’t put it down. My all time favourite book was The Hunger Games, but this it so much better on so many different levels and I never thought that would be possible. I instantly fell in love with Four and the fact that its Theo James in the movie (2014) makes it a whole lot better.

The plot is full of twists and the end of each chapter is left on a cliffhanger which just forces you to continue reading – resulting in you spending all day glued to it. I absaloutely love this book and i’m going to be reading Insurgent (part 2) very soon. Maybe just add it to my birthday list – HINT HINT MUM AND DAD.

From start to finish the book is full of events and therefore doesn’t get tedius at all. I definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t yet read it. Its brill.

Have you read divergent? Leave me your thoughts below

Summer Reads

Feels like I haven’t done a blog post in a bit so I thought this nice sunny weather was an excuse for one. Just a little update on what I’ve been up to and in particular the books i’ve been reading. Last week I thought I was in need of a few good books and so ordered four.

I’ve only just started reading Divergent and so far I absaloutely love it. Once I’ve read these books I plan to do a little blog post about them so keep an eye out.

Have you read any of these books?

April Reads

So since the 30 Day Blogging Challenge has ended I have realised that the amount of posts that I have done has decreased significantly so I apologise for that hahaha. Basically, with it being Easter week, its been more of a family week where we’ve had several shopping trips and just gone out and done family things. However, I am aiming to upload at least two posts per week so make sure you check up on my blog regularly or follow me so you recieve updates whenever I upload I new post.

Todays (rather late) post will be about my recent Amazon order. As you will have realised if you have read through a few of my other posts, I am a complete bookworm and can sit and read a book for hours and finish it within a day, I just love reading. However, a couple of weeks ago I started reading The Last Song and literally was glued to the book (I intend to do a little review on it soon) but when I finished it I was devastated because I had no other books to read and so entered the world of Amazon and Goodreads in search of a new book.. but I ended up with three.

ImageThe books I decided on in the end were Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Gone Girl.

After searching the charts for books I eventually decided on these three after reading the good reviews. I found Gone Girl in the charts and was about fifth when I saw it and the reviews were amazing so I’m excited to give that a read. Its a lot different to the types of books I usually read but I fancied a bit of a change in my selection – plus the cover feels so nice.

I also chose Something Borrowed after recently watching it on Sky and fell in love with it. The storyline is so cute and just my cup of tea. When I watched it I had no idea that it was based on a novel until it appeared in my searches on Amazon and wanted it straight away so I can’t wait to read that and I think that will be the first book I will be reading out of the three. When I was purchasing this, I came across Something Blue which from the title you will probably already know that it is the sequal to Something Borrowed and so obviously I had to get that too.

So now I can’t wait to start my reading. What are you reading at the moment? Have you read any of these books? Leave your comments below

30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 7 – 5 Things I couldn’t possibly live without

A nice little picture from Pinterest to go with todays theme :’) awwww

1. Family

My family mean the world to me. Without them I don’t know what i’d do, my Mum and Dad are ALWAYS there for me, and help me when I need them – and go shopping with me;-) as much as I can get annoyed and frustrated with them, they are the most important people in my life who I love so much. I also have two brothers who are more like my best friends; I can trust them with pretty much everything and they never fail to cheer me up when I’m down – they literally make me laugh in some way every single day. We can fall out and annoy eachother but we always end up being best mates again a few minutes later, love them both so much!

2. My Phone

I never go anywhere without my phone, I just can’t leave it. I need it to contact my friends, to check my facebook and twitter, I even have the WordPress app on it so that I can check and update my blog. Although, the main reason I probably need my phone so much is for the time, I don’t wear a watch as much as I used to and I can’t stand not knowing what time it is – it frustrates me when I don’t know it.

3. Books

I’m a total bookworm and I’m constantly looking for new books to read. I love having a good book that I just cannot put down. I’m a total nerd when it comes to books – i like them to be in order, I hate it when they get damaged and I especially hate it when people fold down the corners. JUST USE A BOOKMARK gosh!;) I find it so peaceful and relaxing when I go to bed and read my books until I get tired, I love it. I’m currently reading The Last Song after watching it AGAIN for the millionth time. I only started reading it today but i’ll do a blogpost once i’m done with a quick review.

4. Friends

After coming to my decision to leave college, I knew that i’d need my friends more than ever. And in the past few weeks where I wasn’t myself at college they were all amazing and I honestly can’t imagine a group of better friends. I wouldn’t be able to bare being without them and couldn’t possibly live without our regular chats and gossip sessions.

5. My bed

My bed is like the comfiest thing in my life. I love lying in bed with a movie, or my laptop, or a book and just getting comfy and relaxing. Going to bed and getting engaged in a book just lets my mind shut off and helps me get a good night sleep. My bed is also the perfect place to think, although it can be rather annoying when I think too much into things to the point where I get worried about nothing but usually my bed helps me to relax and without it i wouldn’t be able to cope. Its way too comfortable (I’m lazy *yawwwwn*)
