Shop til you drop HAUL #2

So as you will have been able to tell from yesterdays post, I did go a bit crazy in Primark which is why I had to split my haul into posts- Clothing and Accessories. If you haven’t already make sure you check out yesterdays post.

DSC_01771. Phone Clutch £4. I literally threw this clutch into my basket as soon as I spotted it. I first saw this clutch in Topshop HERE but of a different pattern but I debated whether to get it. And boy am I glad I didn’t buy it because this one is just as nice and a fraction of the cost. It has a nice little space for your phone to slot into yet also a place to put your money. Its just so practical.

2. ‘Pool party’ beach clutch £2. I love this. I realise that my holiday is a few months of yet but I want to be prepared. Maybe even start packing 3 months in advance. i don’t know about you but I am incredibly protective of my things – I can not stand it if my phone, ipod, laptop etc gets scratched or is in a dangerous situation where it might get scratched which is why I have like a million different cases for my different things. When i’m on holiday especially, I hate leaving my phone out where it might get wet, dropped or scratched. This year my ipad will be my companion and I think I would have a break down if anything happened to it. So I bought this little pool party clutch bag. I just think its so practical as I can keep my different things in here to protect them from the sun and any splashing. In the mean time though I will be using it as my ipad pouch and showing it off for a bit. (Oh and the colour is just beautiful – and it matches my towel).

3. White diamante sandals £4. So after writing these past two posts I realise I may have been in a bit of a holiday mood. I’m just too excited and love buying things for the summer. I’ve been searching everywhere for some new sandals as I’ve worn most of mine out and only have one pair left but they aren’t mutual enough to wear with EVERY outfit I have so I was in need of a nice white pair – and I finally found them. I think these will look so pretty underneath linen pants and with shorts – and especially great with a nice tan. I haven’t even tried these on yet so I’m hoping they will fit comfotably.

4. Floral headband £2. As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, I have recently rekindled my obsession with floral hair accessories. However, I decided I wanted to mix it up a bit as all my floral hair things are just little clips and since flowers are my little ‘thing’, I thought I’d buy a nice headband with flowers on. They had quite a few flower accessories in atm but I fell in love with this one as it is so cute yet subtle. I think it will look so pretty with my hair up or down, and will add a nice look for the days I want my hair kept off my face.

5. China print scarf £4. I’ve also become obsessed with china print clothing at the moment. I already have a china print blouse and dress but I love this scarf. It will just add a nice touch to an outfit as its just so pretty. I’ve been wearing it every day since I got it and it really helps complete any outfit. I love it.

What accessories have you bought? Are you in the summer mood? Obsessed with the china pattern trend?

Shop til you drop HAUL #1

So I went shopping.. again. I thought i’d share with you what i’d purchased mainly from primark. However, I’m going to split it into two different parts: Clothes, and Accessories – So make sure you check back tomorrow.

Image

So as you can see, I bought quite a lot from Primark this weekend..Image

1. Acid wash dungarees – £13. I’ve been wanting some of these for so long and just could not resist when I saw a huuuuge collection of them at the doors. I can’t wait for some warm weather to arrive so I can wear them, until then i’ll be sticking on some tights underneath.

Image

2. Light wash long Dungarees – £17. This item is by far my favourite purchase of the week. I am obsessed. I innitially went shopping for a shorter pair, but when I spotted these I fell in love and for just £17, I couldn’t say no. I first went shopping to buy some short dungarees from topshop which were £30 and for the same price I got two pairs. Not bad

Image

3. Towel – £7. So this was a sort of instinct buy. My friend had one of these like 3 years ago on her holiday and I was so jealous. I personally just thought they were genious as i’m forever clipping my towel around myself on holiday and this just saves me the effort. I love it and the bright colours have completely got me into the holiday spirit. Can not wait for spaiiiin.

Image

4&5. Two Bright Crop Tops – Yellow and White – £3 each. I’d seen these tops in River Island a while ago but thought they were far too much money at £10 each. And so, when I saw them in Primark for less than 1/3 of the cost I just had to buy them. I tried them on earlier and they look so good with both my dungarees and in the winter I will be throwing them on over a nice vest top. Eeeep

Have you been shopping recently? Got yourself a few bargains? Joined the dungaree hype?

Remember to return tomorrow for part two of my rather big haul.

Wish wish wish

Just a few items that I want to splash out on. Love them all so much. Hint hint for birthday Dad.

  1. So i’m obsessed with rose gold jewellery at the minute, all of it looks so pretty. And this watch is just gorgeous, want want want.
  2. I spotted this book on Amazon and thought it would be worth a read – always looking for a few hints and tips for my blog.
  3. The Ted Baker coat is just beautiful yet expensive. Its so summer-y yet practical for the English weather.
  4. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a Book Clutch of Pride and Prejudice and psbesitos have such cute purses. I’ve seen others but they don’t seem practical to use for an everyday clutch but these are just perfect and I definitely will be getting one soon.
  5. I’ve had my eye on the Top Shop boots as they are so pretty, but the price has been holding me back at £70 but I do love them. Unfortunately though, they no longer have my size – fingers crossed they will get more stock for me.

A little MUA haul

So I went shopping… again.

DSC_0159

I have had my eye on the MUA eye palletes for quite some time but I never believed that they’d be very good because of the very low price of £4. However, the low pricing just adds to how amazing this product is – other than the flimsy packaging, this product is perfect. I also picked up a couple of the MUA Nail Polishes after seeing so many bloggers writing about them. I was originally attracted to the bottles as they are complete copy of the Essie ones just a little smaller – but for £1 you can’t complain. The colours I bought were Bold Blue and Fever Red (above), I did intend to buy a few colours but the Superdrug in the Trafford Centre seemed to have ran out of most of the colours so I am planning to pop to another store and get some more colours ready for the summer.

DSC_0163As you can see from the above photograph the pallete consists of mainly shimmery neutral shades with only three Matte shades but all of them are so pretty  and wearable. I will definitely be picking up some different coloured palletes next time and hopefully i’ll learn a few more techniques so I can use them all the time.

Little Purchases

Feels like I haven’t posted on here for quite a while, 10 days ago (to be precise) I posted and said that I was aiming to do at least two posts per week and I admit I haven’t been doing great. Apologies. Basically, I had an idea for my post a while back but then I got a stupid cold with a constant bad throat and I just wasn’t in the mood to be editing and posting but now that i’m at the end of it I will be posting on here a lot more regularly as I have a few ideas for this month. Yay!

Although I was full of a cold, I just could not resist a little shop when it became an option so me and my family took a trip to the Trafford Centre last weekend and a few other little places here and there so I thought I’d share with you a couple of things that I bought.

ImageAbove you can see my 5 favourite items that I have purchased this week.

First I’ll go straight to my most recent purchases which are the three beautiful nail polishes. I bought these colours because they were cute pastel colours and just thought they were perfect for the spring season and are my three favourite colours as you will be able to tell from my updated banner at the top of the page.

Image

I love this Barry M shade because its just so pale and a spring colour. I also realised that I am short of purply colours in my growing collection so I knew there was a need for one. Love it.

Image

This colour is just so pretty! Its like a pastel coral colour and I just loved it. I’ve been wanting to give the Gelly Hi Shine Nails a whirl for a while and took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer in Boots.

Image

Now this polish is my absaloute fave. I saw this collection was coming out after reading a few other beauty blogs and then they appeared in my magazine and I fell in love. So when I saw them in boots with the whole 3 for 2 thing going on I just couldn’t resist. All of the shades were beautiful but the Apple Pie was one that I didn’t yet have in my collection – the amazing apple scent is just great too.

Image

I saw this product after reading about it on Behind These Closed Eyes which is a blog that I am loving at the minute as she inspires me to use so many products so when she wrote about the Coconut Oil – I pretty much went out and bought it the next day and I love it already. This it great for damaged hair like mine with ridiculous dead ends, yet is also amazing for dry skin. I use this every day and my hair already feels softer. So thank you Kirsty!

Image

Last but definitely not least is my AMAZING candle. I bought this on Easter Weekend on a trip to Hebden Bridge in a cute querky shop. They had so many different scents to pick from but I am a total Parma Violets addict and so I just couldn’t leave the shop without buying this. Its currently just an ‘on show’ candle because I just don’t want to use it all so soon so I shall save it a bit longer. Hahaha

Have you got any of these products? Do you have any recommendations? Leave your comments below and I’d be happy to read them

30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 11 – A bad habit I have

So, I was actually stuck for what to write for Todays blog post – aside from the boring old ‘i bite my nails’ I couldn’t really think of a bad habit that I could tell you about.. so I approached my family to help me, since they know me better than anyone, they’ll be able to identify my bad habits easier.

The first thing my Dad said was that I have a bad habit of accidentally forgetting my money when I go shopping with him. But of course, it is an honest mistake hahaha. I’m a total shoppaholic but, as seen in my ’20 facts about myself’ blog post from Day 6 of the Blogging Challenge, I hate to spend my money. I think its because usually when I go shopping with friends I end up buying loads of things and when I come home I regret buying it all.. and ever since I have had a phobea of spending money. (i’m joking, its not that serious but I do dislike it)Therefore, when I go shopping with my Dad i use the excuse ‘i’ll pay you back when we’re home’ or ‘theres no point taking my bag’ etc, (hahaha feel free to use my techniques) 😉 Sometimes I do genuinely forget my purse but most of the time I ‘accidentally’ leave it behind. Recently, I have been good at spending my money though but I use ‘shall we go halves?’ with my parents so I get a great discount really.

Image

But, if you knew me you would be really proud of me as yesterday I went for a good old shop at the Trafford Centre AKA heaven and spent some of my own money. I spent £18 in Accessorize and bought a beautiful statement necklace and some cute daisy earrings. And then bought myself a leather jacket and some boots from Republic. I am so proud of myself.

I am working on my habit you see. If only you could buy expensive things but without spending any money. Somebody really needs to invent something so I can do that.

I know its not really a typical bad habit but I thought this was a better approach to the post as I could write more about it and any readers would be able to learn something else about me – that I love to shop.
